Erm yes.. do you use one? I did use one with my 1999 'puter, but ditched it 6 months later. Basically I've been "matless" for 5 years. At the moment I use a normal ball mouse on a makeshift table I've errected for the computer. This is just rough, unvarnished, unpolished wood and the mouse works just fine on it.

I've still got a Logitech Mouseman Duel Optical mouse. I will refuse to get a new one because it cost me 40 quid about 2 years ago lol.

I use that with an Allsop mousemat because the type of material it is works a treat with optical mice.

I use the same mouse mat i got with my IBM Aptiva 486 over 10 years ago. needless to say it's very dirty now :(

I didn't have a mousemat so I bummed one off the college I used to go to. I knew that place would eventually get me somewhere.

I use one. I use a cloth covered one, as the plastic ones are too cold and hard to the touch. I don't like using a computer without one as my wrist starts to hurt if it's on a hard surface.
The one I use at the moment was bought in a poundshop several years ago. It's better than most as it has very dense foam. I occasionally have to clean it.

Practically yes, though it's useless, as my mouse is optical. But the desk I'm using for the computer has built-in drawers for the mouse and keyboard, and the mouse one has foam to act as a mousepad.

I used to have a thesite one but I lost it (hint hint) but I lost it when I moved house. Now I use an optical but would still prefer one for comfort.

I have a wireless optical mouse as well but I like my mouse mat as it's Buffy so I do use it. I might chuck it soon though because it's pissing me off and I don't really need it.

No, we no longer use mousemats here. Mum's always complaining though that the mouse is apparently scratching the woodwork on the desk.

i have my laptop and my few monitors on a huge oak table, though i do have a welsh flag draped over the table which i guess reduces any scratches and gives the optical mouse something to pick up on
