I really thought he already converted. Oh well.
Why would he want to convert? he doesn't really support what the Cathloic Church says on Abortion, gays etc...
Or did he have the idea so that he can be the same as his European chums?

Seriously, who cares?
As wheresmyplacebo said, he can follow whatever religion he wants, and it doesn't affect the running of the country in anyway.

If you freely admit nobody should cares why the fuck did you post it? Oh yes, to get rid of the other threads in which you're proved wrong time and time again.
If you're bored why not venture into some of the other forums?
he said he was interested, but never said he has converted, plus as blair says, they bring this story up every year

I think there's an archaic law that says the PM isn't allowed to be a confirmed catholic anyway.

haven't heard of that one, although i'd suspect fiend's right as we're not allowed to have a catholic monarch.

Something to do with the gunpowder plot and all that history.

That's probably because the monarch is the 'Defender of the Faith' and head of the Church of England.
As for Tony Blair, I'm not sure how much 'conversion' would be involved. But Bush probably wouldn't be too pleased. :D

A while ago the Guardian ran a campaign to make some institutional changes, including the ban on Catholics becoming heir to the throne. There are no plans to change anything though.
The Guardian also called for the abolition of the monarchy in printing- which incredibly is still a crime punishable by tough jail sentences- and challenged the Courts/police to prosecute its editor for it . They didn't dare.

There was no role of PM at the time of the gunpowder plot. Heck, Britain didn't even exist then!

The EU Germanic countries (Germany, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, etc.) are Protestant.

I said it had to do with that. More to the point, it was a plot to blow up the government.

Ask my Moon Sister and she’ll explain everything…
Any coercively organised Church is shit. Plus she knows lots about paganism you can’t imagine…poor silly Anglicans. Jesus is not a Protestant nor a Catholic not a Muslim…a pagan maybe? Maybe. Quite maybe! Weird, yes?n Not for me.
