There's been a lot of discussion about who should be entitled to migrate to the UK, but i'm interested what you folks think about the staff?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3927241.stm

A lot of people who have posted comments stating that UK Immigration think they are a law unto themselves. I disagree, I really think that they have a very hard job to do, and they do it very well.

I would like to see everyone who enters the country monitored though, perhaps we should demand those magnetic readable strips on the bottom of every passport too, so we can see who is in the country, how long they were entitled to stay for, and when they left (if at all).

On an related subject, Eric Day, the bloke from immigration on the BBC 1 series Airport, was an absolute legend!

to put a blunt answer, the answer is that the only real problem is that we should keep better track of people wanting to come to this country, and stop economic migrants claiming false political asylum

we need migrants in this country, cause we aint producing enough little sprockets ourselves to fund the elderly

Well, that's what I'd do certainly. It's nice to know what people are eating and how often they shit.
