i used to love it wen i was a boy but now even the thought of it sends shivers down my spine, probably the cheesiest show ever.

I used to watch it whilst eating dinner in about 1979. It was on after Grange Hill. I didn't know any better in those days, only being like, 8.

I used to watch The Waltons and Little House On The Prairie with my mum every Sunday. :o
always said i'd call my son Jim Bob :D

My wife refers to my family as the Waltons, because we all get on so well and get together frequently...

Little house got crap when they set in the city with the married daughter.
The Waltons was great though - especially the Hindenburg episode.

Did anyone see any of the reunion films they did? I saw one which was them all bringing their kids home for Thanksgiving...all the surviving cast were present (and scary-looking) but the writing was so terrible that any nostalgic joy was sucked-out of the experience. That will teach me to watch daytime TV.
I wanted to be Mary-Ellen...for about five minutes. Life on that mountain seemed so bloody cool. In hindsight, not so much.

They really dont make TV like they used to. This really saddnes me. It is sad times.
