View Full Version : Puttin DvDs onto Disc

Hi all, i know this is fairly easy for all of you but ive never done it before and would be grateful for some help. Im hopin that my broadband should be up and running next week, I have Kazaa Gold at the moment, and when i get broadband ill want to down loan simpsons ep's and films and such like, but im just wondering how do i put them onto a disc i can then play in my dvd player, when i copy songs to disc i just to it through my windows media player. Thanks :)

If they video is Mpeg format then they will play on DVD players. It would be more easy for you if you had a DVD burner because you can't really fit films etc on standard CDs as most are over 700mb. Take a look here (www.digital-digest.com) Their forums are very helpful as well.

It depends upon what your DVD player will play. Most will play MPEG files, but you'll have to check with your DVD player, and ensure they're right.
The one thing that comes to mind is that most downloadable full length movies are saved in DivX/AVI file format. So unless you have a DVD player that will play DivX too, then you'll have to convert the files.
For ripping DVD's, and file conversions, there are quite a few software packages out here. MovieJack 3 is well specified, but will cost you. No, I haven't used it yet, but it looks straight forward. There is a downloadable demo.

Thanks for you help guys, im just lookin for software to use to actually put it onto dvd discs, ive heard some people use nero? i just need soemthing straight foward and easy :confused:
