These sorts of threads aren't often too successful. I'd take a look at Google to find some. Wasn't there some website which listen clubs around England and rated them? Or did I dream that?

Cheap drinks!:p Want a mix really, some girls like cheesy music, and some like propa clubbin music! Someone said the bomb and media are ok, but the ocean is trash???!

ocean is an absolute hole, where you're likely to lose a shoe walking across the carpets as they're that sticky and minging. less said the better about most oft he clientle there at the weekends as well.
bomb and media are good, the bomb is more clubby and is underground so can get a bit hot, and media ia more commercial stuff.
i'd suggest media if there's a night on as it'll probably appeal overall more to everyone and it's definately cheaper than the bomb.

I've been out in Nottingham, thing is I can't remember where I went.
I do remember going to a really posh bar that had really really posh toilets and I stole a pebble.
Cant stand media personally, their clientel is bit a bit arsey imo
I'd say your best bet is the works, they've got 2 rooms so you could spend some of the night in the main room where the dj plays a mixture of new music (mainly hip hop and trance) and the rest of the night in the 2nd room which plays older music all night (think bon jovi, chesney hawkes etc)
Long island is a good place to visit also, they play a variety of music although its quite a small venue.
Dont go to the edge no matter what you hear, its good music if youre into that kind of thing but the place is full of druggies trying to sell you stuff and unless you're really pissed you (well, i) tend to get feeling you're about to be shot.
Mode is ok, not that great really, probably would go there more often if it wasn't so expensive compared to the other clubs.
Ocean is not as bad as people are making out, just full of rudeboy wannabes though, a hen party should be ok though - if you dont mind getting chatted up by 15 year old lads trying to shag you.
Lost weekend - only been there once, its a bit out the way and was nearly empty when i went (bear in mind this was about midnight on a friday night) i've heard good things though and maybe it doesnt get going till later on.
Love shack/Rock city - depending on what night you go here depends on what music they play, fridays are pretty much like ocean but not so many rudeboys. saturday is rock night i think, cant says ive ever been on a saturday so i can't really discribe it.
Well, hope that helped.
Have fun!
