I am now 20 and a couple of years ago studied computer science at Aston Uni but left before completeing the first year because i really didnt like the course. now intend to go to Sheffield Hallam in Septembe to study business modelling but am not to sure.

Hallam is not as good as Aston (according to the times good uni table!) so would bit be worth studying there for the next 3 or 4 years? Would my degree be worth much from Hallam? I still have the same places to apply to IBM on a grad recirment scheme when i'm done do u think i would be able to do this from Hallam?

I'm currently working as a software tester which i've been doing since December so i have this to put on my CV and i would be doing a placement at Hallam. Thanks for any help you guys can give me I would really like to know wat u all think.

If you get the chance to go to uni then go.

A lot is said about getting into debt but you only have to pay them back at ridiculously small repayments.

You'll regret not going to uni but you wont regret not working for those 3 extra years.

I'm quite sure that Hallam an Aston are about the same on the league tables. But for where your degree would be more respected you have to look at the individual courses, not the universities. Some unis that are widely thought of as not being very good will be respected greatly in one area.
