msn emote problem

SInce last night, maybe the day before on my screen teh emotes wont work, the person(s) im chatting with are seeing them, the ones i send and the ones they send but i cant. im lost as to what it could be i just tried doing uninstalll, reinstall but that didnt work..

any iideas ??

Rather than make another thread i thought id shove it in here..Problem is that after updating my msn messenger i try to change the IM sound, the sound you get when someone messages you, but it wont save it, ive tried making saving the settings as something else but it isnt loading them up it just keeps going back to its default... Any ideas how to make it stick with the sounds i want, 'cause it used to work before, all the time. :confused: Or maybe i should say. Waht am i doing wrong ??
