I'm looking for something down it along the lines of Universal serial bus controllers only I can't fucking find them. It seems like they're not responding in general either.

Can someone PLEASE help me and tell me what the fuck is going on.

Universal serial bus controllers = USB. Usb ports are the small slots usually situated on the back of your computer, more commonly these days on the front too. Things such as cameras and webcams, mp3 players etc plug into these via USB leads. I'll have a quick lookie about in my device manager for you.

Yes, but when n00bs come to search for this kinda thing if someone didn't mention what they actually were then they'd just get more confused.

Oh, and if you know what you're doing and the ports aren't functioning at all, you could try opening your case and checking the connections.

What OS?

It should be right there. At the bottom. It may only show up if you have installed additional drivers, or a USB device.

It loads up now, I changed the start-up settings and altered everything.

I've established the problem. Every time I plug in the fucking cable modem through USB, my computer freezes after about a minute.
