Avril's new album

Avril Lavigne's new album comes out next week... "Under My Skin"

Can't wait... already got it ordered :hyper: Already heard a few of the songs (don't ya love the 'net?) and it seems good; a bit deeper than the first one.

Anybody else here a big Avril fan?

she's still around? i thought she dropped off the face of the earth or something... after her not so great mall tours... but then again, who does tours in malls :/

so yea. if its anything like her old stuff (sk8er boi?? what the hell, seriously, the least she could do is spell it properly) then i dont think i'll be a fan :p

I had an "Avril phase" last year but I'm not all that bothered about her stuff now tbh. I spose I've grown out of it (for want of a better phrase)

But her "music"? I won't kill the radio if it comes on, but I wouldn't buy it (except for the album photos, obviously.

i broke the radio when avril came on. i was in the shower and i kinda smacked the thing cos i had shampoo in my eyes and it fell in the shower and broke and stuff.

its good pop music i just wish she wouldnty try and be 'punck' as she has respelled it
however i don't listen to most pop. avril included. i really dislike her for some reason

Agreed. If she accepted the fact that she does pop, and just got on with it, then I wouldn't have a problem with her (don't like her stuff personally, but lots of people do). It's the fact that she goes round trying to claim that she's a serious musician, and insulting other pop acts, it just makes her into another wannabe poser.

But anyway, if people like her music, then that's up to them :) I do think she'd look better if she didn't go so over the top on the eye makeup, though :p

The review I read in the Independant gave her one star and said that it was the worst album to be released since Dido's last album which in turn was the last album to have been released since Avrils first album.
