Hi

Just wondering what you thought about buying property abroad, in perhaps France of Spain.

We are finding it very hard to buy property here, because house prices are so high now and we are first time buyers.

Property in France go up from £15,000 upwards...do many people buy abroad, do you think it's a good idea?

We are just dreaming about it at the moment, but I wonder if it's a possibility?

What do you all think?

Are you talking about buying abroad to live abroad or buying aboard as an investment but still living in the UK? Either way, it's possible.

I know exactly how you feel - I'm having the same nightmare trying to buy a place (as I'm sure you know if you've read my diary (http://www.thesite.org/youthnet/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=472)). Good luck with it.
In the meantime I've found a few links to get you started on thinking about buying abroad. Like the other said it is possible - and definitely cheaper, but I guess you need to be sure of how you're going to use the property before you buy.

What do you all think? There is a big exhibition coming soon to London about this. I can't remember when or where tho so that's no much help... I'll listen extra hard next time the advert comes on the radio! It might be a bit far for you to come from Wales mind...
