Am I the only one who goes out to Bingo? I don't know why it's percieved as an old womans game really, it's well fun. I go with my 17 yr old friend, Twig and my 20 yr old friend Malcolm, granted they are both gay,but I am making a stand for BINGO!

I hope that soon it will be THE place to be! :p

Or not..:o

Oh no you bloody well can't

I work in the catering departement at Mecca, and if we get busted with people brining their own booze in, we lose our licence.

Bingo is the place to be though. You do get a lot of old people (one of them licked my ear last week  ) but you get some hot women in there too :thumb:

I'm afraid Bingo isn't my evenin gout of choice, mainly because I work in a social club over the holidays, and they have bingo EVERY night for the oldies, and it is THE most tedious part of the evening, standing listening to it all, especially because most of their bingo callers call in a monotone.
And the people who play bingo at the club don't get much support from me either, we've been told off by them for doing various parts of our job during bingo - washing glasses (but they complain when there aren't any clean ones), walking, and having a fan on (apparently it blows out into the hall and ruffles some people's cards, which is NONSENSE because it's directed in at the bar, and isn't that powerful anyway)
*Ahem* You may have gathered that I have a bit of a gripe with the old bingo there

I don't know Bristol very well, but isn't there a Mecca or a Gala out by Lawrence Hill? (just thinking about it...that could be the one you are talking about!!)

How much do you have to pay for membership, and each time you go, etc? I've kinda had urges to try it. There's a Mecca Bingo in the town. I used to have to walk past it on a Thursday night to get to rock night and there was always two lads who were, like, 10, and they used to make comments at me  generally related to breasts.

You have to be 18. one of my workmates told me the story of someone whod been going there for a while, winning the national, and they asked her what she was going to spend the money on. She replied `on a big party for my 18th next week`.......................................they whisked that money out of her hand pretty quickly.
