She may be phorrrw but she's not worth perving over for £36. You may as well go to a lap dance club for that much :D

Isn't it just terrible - I mean how can the girl sleep at night knowing she's singing songs that she never wrote herself personally - It's a disgrace

There is no 'SHOULD'

She shouldn't have to do anything - Yeah, people would appreciate an artist who can write their own material but for the people who don't - Big Deal - Let It Go -

The girl still manages to make a few quid - If you had the opportunity, so would you!

I went to see her and while I am maybe not the best person to comment, I found that she was great. I really liked her in the touch of the hand song. And it might have been a bit nicer if she hadn't mimed for the vast majority of it but i would rather have had her mime than not do some of the complicated dance routines that she does(and yes i know there are some artists like xtina who can do both and that is a shame but i thought she was very good)

I have loved britney since her first single and had really looked forward to the gig.

Trouble was the miming-personally I'd rather her do a sugababes dance and then sing live than a whole stage act-tho all credit to her the act was faultless.

I did feel uncomfortable at her over provocative performance-when I was 8 i saw kylie, if she had done what britney did I would've cried! I mean I've been to fetish clubs so its not like I've not seen this sort of stuff in public-but that was not a family show.

Tho maybe its a sign of the times?

Tho no act should include a guy in front of your crotch looking like he's going down on you-not unless the show is at least 14+. Maybe I'm just a prude?

One point: - show spoilt by over aggressive bouncers who stole my wow camera!

Point taken, there should be an age limit to see her show. I have a niece who is only 9yrs old and she loves Britney, Christiana, etc and there is no way in hell I would take her to see them. Known what kinda shows they put on, like you put it, having a guy dance, going down Britneys' crotch area.

Yes, she aint the most talented singer, ok, she can barely sing but the girl knows how to put on a show with her dance routines and some people like that...

For the people who don't like her - Simply just don't listen to her music and if she pops up on your tv... turn it off -

If your going to argue with about her talent, etc - at least use a contructive argument and use resources to back it up, rather than... what was it, someone said - Saying that's shes 'SHIT'

You mean sing and dance at the same time? Granted I haven't seen much of her dancing but there is no way you can sing and do any more than sway at the same time without losing control of your voice..especially with a voice like xtina. It'd be jumping and stuttering all over the place.

I'm a total muso and I love Britney. I can't understand why people get so angry about her not writing her own songs or playing an instrument. If you don't like it, don't listen to it.Are they really that insecure about their own tastes? Britney is a lot better than the derivative shit I see peddled by NME etc.

And by the by the majority of the bands that I see held up as talented because the play their own instruments don't do it particularly well. Isn't pitch correct a wonderful addition to the recording studio?

And Infinite is spot on - most of the stuff on NME/MTV2/Kerrang is angsty, pretntious shite :thumb:

Awww, poor Britney. I feel sorry for her - she's in a whirlwind of fame and is just a lost soul I think.

She's never been right since Justin. I think her new album is ace and she'll always have my vote! :D

Some pop singers are very good at what they do - and I happen to think Britney's one of them. She can pull off a decent recording, she plays to her image very well, and it sounds like she peforms well, too. (And I must admit, she is stunning!)

I loved it but I think that is just because of the pitch bending and the violins, rather than Britney's contribution.

I like her cos she's not afraid to go out in her dossy clother, no make up etc she doesnt have ot be perfect all the time. I would have thought being natural is far more apealing, cos when she does dress up she can dazzle!

See I really like Britney's voice. It's one of those things I can't explain but I love it.

Just to add more to the Britney not being real music argument, one of the most demanding musical jobs just now is in pop stars backing bands. The music is unbelievably tightly arranged.
This guywas N'Sync's guitarist.

So in answer to the question "Why would you want to go and see a talentless bitch who mimes?" it's because her live band are some of the most talented musicians in the world today.

"A musician should be able to write a bloody song". Kindly tell that to anyone in an orchestra. I would rather she hired professional songwriters who know what they're doing as opposed to some of the self-written pish I hear on the radio.

No, they wanted to see Britney Spears. You asked why you would want to go and see her as she doesn't write her songs or play an instrument. Kids don't care. They probably couldn't tell if she was miming or not.

But you clearly do care. If you were such a huge music fan you would be able to appreciate the level of talent in her band.

I used to love kylie as a lil one and saw her live when I was 8. If she had cavorted the way britney did I would have cried! Tho seeing some of kylies recent stuff I guess its just the way most artists are these days.

I do love brit still tho!
