Apparently a great sex life gives you the same happiness that an extra £30,000 on an average salary would give. YOur first long-term partner gives you the most happiness, and the optimum number of sexual partners for optimum happiness is one.

I think this study is wonderful- it shows that a long-term monogamous relationship is best for the body and mind, and gives the best sex and the most happiness. One for all those who think that one-night stands are the be-all and end-all to think about, me thinks.

Other aspects of life to which they have given a “happiness value” include employment, race and age. They find that the unhappiest age for British women is 37 and 41 for men. That's scary... the worst is still to come :nervous:
