Windows 95/98 game on a Windows XP computer?

Just found an old game that I fancied playing, loaded it all up and everything but it kept asking me to replace the game disk in the CD drive.

I assumed it was just because the CD is slightly scratched (but still useable!) until I realised it said Win. 95/98 on the CD, while I'm using Windows XP now.

Is there any way I can get it to work on my system?

Aint there a feature on XP where you can choose compatibility with other versions of windows?

Sorry i cant remember where that is, its been a long time since i used XP
