I want to go to London from Birmingham in about 2 weeks and heard about megabus.com selling tickets for £1. Has anyone travelled with them, is it legit? I'm hoping so because that will save me loads.

never travelled with them but have heard of it, aparently they're like ex-singapore double decker buses that have gone out of service.
i'd be careful if i were you, tis probably safer to go national express

Yes but also more than £10 more expensive.

I've used it before. Bit noisy but it is safe.

yeh but surely a coach/bus crash could happen regardless of what service is used.

My dad said it was to do with the Easyjet/cinema etc ppl-but surely it would be called Easy bus not megabus?

Let us know if you do travel on it tho!

I see them parked on Wellington Street in Leeds all the time. Think they go to Manchester and York for £1. I think they're a spin off of National Express, but I ain't sure.

they operate alot in scotland ... ed - glasgow, ed - fife and stuff. people seem happy with them. i think you would be safe travelling with them. they are just like school buses. dont expect the most comfortable journey in your life but they will get you from A to B in one piece.

The Megabus sounds better, one flat fare regardless of when.

Hardly any of the ones that Nat Ex offered are around £1, the cheapest I managed to find were closer to a tenner.
