Where is the best place to get rid of an old computer?the monitor, harddrive, printer, keyboard...
Any sensible ideas appreciated :)

Is it all working as a complete system? If so then sell it in the local paper, or give it to someone who wants/needs a computer.

If it's faulty, and you don't want anything for it, then either put it in the paper for free for anyone who wants it, or take it to your local dump. I'm not too sure if there are any regulations on dumping some items such as monitors due to some of the materials used in them, but the last time an old one went faulty on me about a year ago there was no problem taking it to the dump.
I suppose it's too old to be worth fixing now? And that you've got another better machine anyway.

I suppose you could donate it to one of these computers for poor kids thingys.

Get the tools out & take it apart that's what i'd do but I do like to take things apart.

Environ - it's a charity. You just give them your computer and they chop them up and make new computers from the bits that work for people on the budget.
