No tears, but I think the guards who were supposed to be watching him should be sacked. HMP Wakefield is notorious for suicides, because the screws dont do their jobs properly.

Needless to say, HMP Wakefield is a private prison run by Group 4.

He wasn't on suicide watch though. If someone really want to take their lives, very often they will suceed.

Shipman's suicide raises some interesting questions. To those people who are thinking/saying today that he was a coward and he did the easy way out I would ask: "do you agree then that the death penalty is too good for people like him and therefore there is no possible justification for it?"

One part of me is saying "Not really a loss, deserves it the scummy *******." The other part of me is thinking he should have had to live with what he had done. But a man convicted of killing 15 people and suspected to have killed over 200 more can't be capable of showing remorse in my opinion.
