To those at uni, how many modules have you had this semester?

And more generally, are they all in your subject area or can you look outside youyr main department. I know some degrees let you do subsids, in first year at least.

Mine are all from my department though, we couldnt chose much at all- if you hadnt done Alevel maths/physics or chemistry you had to do remedial modules to get you up to scratch, then there were 2 other vaguely broader ones to make up a choice if you still had a slot spare.

I've done:

Basic Skills for Earth Sciences (15 creds) think this one carries on into next semester aswell though... kinda like tutorial style.
Climate, Ocean and Atmosphere (15) (my one choice. was this or Ocean Biogeochemistry)
Earth Structure and Plate Tectonics (15)
Basic (yeah right) Physics for ES (15)
Sediments (7.5)
Fossils (7.5)
Minerals (7.5)

So thats a nice grand total of 82.5 credits this semester. :eek2:
And 5 exams the first week back then another the wednesday after. I really should go revise!

Rocks seems to think this is a lot. So im curious.

So how about you?

Hmmm... I'm doing a degree in Finance and Accounting and this year, i take 6 modules, over both semesters...

Introduction to Business
Introduction to Financial Reporting
Information Technology and Business Research
Accounting for Management Decisions
Developing Business Skills
Economics for Business.

Seeing as it's 120 credits per year, i'd assume that they're 20 credits each. Though having said that, i've got no idea because i haven't been told anything about credits at my uni =/
