please remind me again, what is a control group and what is an experiment group?

The control group is where you keep everything the same and the experiment group is where you manipulate the variable of the experiment.

E.g. experiment to see effect of listening to music whilst revising on test scores.

Group 1
Participants revised without listening to music then took test

Group 2
Participants revised whilst listening to music then took test

Group 1 would be the control group, Group 2 the experiment group.
