a good book?
I mean it's not that its a let down but it mean what are you going to do now?
Jump back into the next book you find?
Give up reading?
What's a person to do!?:p
I hardly ever manage to jump from one good book into another good one (anyone else find that problem?)
I have a cooling off period where I don't read for a few weeks after I finish a good book, just to clear the system out.
Just finished reading 'Emperor at the gates of Rome'. Which I thought was fuckin great. Unfortunately, the next instalment isn’t out till next year. Frustrating isn’t it!
:banghead: :yeees:
I suppose the best thing to do is either find another book by the same author or find another author you like. Just keep on finding out about stuff that interests you - it's almost impossible to tire of the world of books because there are so many out there! Hope that helps :)

YES!
Luckily there's a library within walking distance of me :)
I always try to get books with 800+ pages in small print because I really hate finishing....it's like you said "what shall I do now?".
I sometimes get too involved with a novel and start dreaming/daydreaming about the world and characters and stuff in whichever book I happen to read.
Unlike you, I don't have a "cooling off period", I always try to start a new book.
At the moment I'm reading Timeline by Michael Chricton(sp?)
Btw, I never start a series that isn't complete, I hate the waiting part:(
Yes. The sign to me of a good book is when I am sad at finishing it. Yarrr.

the worst feeling is when your right forefinger and thumb are almost touching, and you know there are only a few pages left.
i've been known to re-read a really good book straight away, cause i didn't want to 'leave' it.
i'm a book geek though.

Yes, I hate when that happens, as well, but one of my favorite authors, that I am reading her books right now, I still have quite a few to read yet, but it's always a disappointment when that one book ends, but it always seems to be good when you have the next book, of that other, and the series,of those books to continue to read until you have read them all.
