my army boots. totally waterproof way up past my ankles, and enough room for several pairs of socks :)

Id say it depends how far your planning to go/walk.

When it snows and Im going out to school I usually just give up my heels and wear flat shoes, If your not going far and its not too thick then normal shoes are fine.

If your worried about waterproof stuff looking crap then maybe take shoes with you for inside, and just wear the others outside?

I need shoes for going to college in, i have to go up a big hill to college so they have to be sensable, i was think about getting a pair of knee high boots that have a slight wedge instead of a heal bit if you get what i mean?

well it depends - i have really picky feet, only trainers will do for the 1 1/2 mile walk to college i do twice (sometimes 4) times a day.

but, i'd say try topshop, faith shoes are good. then you could try somewhere like allsports - i always found that pod and kickers were really comfortable. they do nice shoes :)

Don't buy suede shoes! I just got suede boots for £70, very nice and comfy, but I can only wear them when it's cold and dry!

I finally found a pair of boots, they have just a little heal so i won't be falling over (hopefully) i dunno if they will be much use in ice tho coz don't have much grip but I don't really think any shoes are suitable for ice anyway no matter what kind of grip you have on them, am i right?

if you go to a shoe makers/repairers you can actually buy these stick on things to make your shoes more grippy.
