I'm hoping to join a friend up in Whistler in late December, but i can't decide whether to stick with skiing (done a few days) or try out snowboarding.

What does everyone else think?

Anyone been there, with helpful tips?

Thanx in advance.

Hey strawberrychild,

I'm gonna be living in Whistler for 6 months from November 10th. Never been before but heard that it's amazing from loads of people, including someone who spent 11 months there 3 years ago.

As for the all important skiing or snowboarding question I recommend skiing, especially as you have done it before. I've only been skiing 2 weeks in my life and never tried swowboarding so thinking about, dont take my advice :) . On the plus side for snowboarding, snowboarding girls do have a certain sexiness about them.

How long are you going out there for?

A season in Whisler? You lucky, lucky person!

I've got 2 new trips lined up this winter:

6 Days in Ireland in November.

And

Seeing in the new year in Reykjavík, Iceland. Hopefully I'll be able to head out of the city and catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

Brrrrrrrr

I can only go out for 1 week. But i'm not sure if its going to be possible. It's going to cost me around £1500.

Maybe i'll just take a hike to Scotland.
