What should I do? - virus

Hey I've got a virus on my system and half of my executables have been infected. I found this out when I downloaded a virus scanner and it found it. I don't know what to do though - if I install the virus checker again (I system restored) it will delete the executables which means none of my programs work. My computer doesn't seem to have any slowdown from this virus so I'm wondering do you think I should leave them?

I really don't want to format again :(

I'd backup my files - and reinstall windows if you have to.

And also put a virus scanner on from the beginning.

sigh. the virus scanner i downloaded was that kapersky one heh. Oh also the backup files on my computer are infected lol :rolleyes:
