want to spend about 60 notes on a graphics card for an athlon 2ghz for playing games and stuff. I'm upgrading from a geforce 2 (old).
anyone?
ati or nvidia?

Only making this comment because of the Gamecube being ATI and blinding graphics for a console (sod xbox, gamecube is smoother and ya can't deny it) :p
Xbox is the best. But Gamecube has pretty good graphics :)
ATI is better nowadays for me cos it just is - NVidia is like the all - purpose one. Hmmm. I just repeated almost exactly what BJ said. Except of course for the XBox bit. heh. OMG Project Zero scareh

Go for a second hand Radeon 9000 or 8500 retail, they fetch around £60 odd now.
If you really want power for gaming (especially with that cpu) then I would advise you to save up and get a Radeon 9800 pro from www.crucial.com/uk cos tbh anything under £180 and you're seriously underpowering that 2ghz CPU.

I got a 128Mb Geforce 4 Ti 4200 and frankly it stunning and I have same processor as you. I haven't seen it struggle yet and boy do I try to make it.
