I installed and ran Kazaa lite. I went for two downloads and I ended up with two viruses on my computer. Thankfully my Antivirus got them. It recently ran out and wont download and new virus warnings.

1) Has anyone run this and got viruses?

2) Should I uninstall kazaa from my computer?

Im not used to the kazaa or anything like that and I shit myself when any warnings come up. Should I just stop or are the virus warnings normal on this type of thing?

Kazza Lite is a cracked version of the orignal version so you never know what sort of code they have put into the lite version.

You might wanna use WinMX which you can find @ www.winmx.com - 110% virus/spyware free.

If you have downloaded something like a song then you proberly have picked it up in the thing you downloaded. When you download stuff of there or any where else really you might want to check the file extension just in case it has got something like .exe.vb or something.

www.lavasoftusa.com - a good easy to use free spyware remover. (The standard version is the free one)

Also remember to update your anti-virus software with any new updates that come out to keep your self safe.

www.zonelabs.com - for a good free firewall.

I downloaded and started it and my Internet connection was buggered. I tried to get on here and it came up with the

"This page cannot be displayed"

It wasn't until I stopped Zone Alarm and started my Norton Antivirus and Internet Security (Which the updates have expired) That I could access this site. What should I do do fix it?

The problem isn't with Kazaa, it's with what you're downloading (programs I assume).
You always take a risk with programs swapped over a P2P system. You just don't know what you're downloading for certain until you try and run it. All you can do is run antivirus software on the file, and hope for the best.

Get and run Ad-Aware from Lavasoft, its very good and it works. My computer fecked after downloads from KaZaA, and my puter was so clogged full fo spyware that they were all making my internet crash through overload.

If you cant afford the update to Norton, uninstall it and reinstall it. It should give you 12 months more, but I couldnt be certain. Or failing that go to http://www.grisoft.com and download AVG, a very good FREE AV program (or so say my mates who are on Comp-Sci degrees).
