I heard the lawyer working for the women on Radio Four a little while ago, and he said that he recons about 50% of the women he's defending are faking it.

I agree.

I don't know whether it's relevent but some of the most racist people I've ever met have been in the army and I work in a pub. However I'm aware that not all army people are like that.

Why let military police investigate the allegations? Surely am impartial inquiry into the matter would be more fair?

I cannot believe that every single allegation is fake and I don't!

I think it is a shame that some women will look up on this as an opportunity for compensation etc and in so doing they are making it harder for those women who have genuine claims. :(

Of course, the women wouldn't have got any benefit out of a false claim. Except moeny from the British Govt - would have been quite a big claim too, should have set them up for life.


Yes, I agree that the motives for claiming a "false" accusation has been made are high, but then so were the motives for making such a false accusation in the first place.

Sadly, as events in the UK have shown, false claims are nothing new.
