possible new blokey

ive met someone :) and hes lovely. all his friends who i know say that hes a decent bloke and hes not just out for sex but hes just broken up with his girlfriend (about a month ago) so to be careful which is fair enough as im not planning on rushing into anything.
but my friends (who dont know him) have said it sounds like he just wants sex because he text me sayin 'if you're not doing anything on saturday do u wanna come over for a drink cos im home alone'

kinda confusing because he seems lovely so i wanna trust that hes just a lovely bloke and has good intentions. but im not sure so i suggested we do something in the day on saturday, like go out somewhere but hes now said i have to pick what i wanna do.

so my questions to you are

1. what do you think? should i go for it and trust our mutual friend or does it sound like hes just after sex

and

2. if i do go for it where should i say to go?

Do you have any problems getting into pubs and clubs?

Just wondering cos he said he wants to take you out for a drink and I'm assuming he don't mean Ribena. As a precaution you should always watch as a guy gets you a drink, don't want to risk someone slipping something into your drink!!

Yeah stick to a public place or even go on a double date!!

Watford's quite a good place to go out if you want the element of public saftey because there's always loads of police men and women on duty on friday and saturday night .. I'll probabaly be there myself to.

well...it went well, didnt c him the day we planned but umm...not yesterday, the day before he came up and we chatted and watched tele and had a bit of a cuddle. just takin it slow cos we've both been hurt and stuff :D
