View Full Version : Question for the boys? Shirts- In or Out
Boys when you go out to pubs, bars and club do you tuck your shirt in or leave it hanging out?
And for those nosey girls reading this ... which do you prefer?

Out. But most shirts are designed to be worn "out" nowadays.

Out if going out.
In with a suit/jacket.
it does depend on the shirt though.

As a girl it's way sexier when a guy tucks his shirt in.
Then you can see the results after you've corrupted him for a bit, while with a shirt tucked out, you really can't see the difference of your "work" :p

As people here have said, it depends on the shirt and what you're wearing it with. I can see what girls mean about preferring a guy tucked in, but it sometimes looks a bit pretensious.
I thought women like to look at Men's rear assets as it were, so for that tucked in would be better

simple out when its not baggy and in when it's baggy BUT fold it overso it isnt just in.

In if you're trying to look vaguely smart. Out is ok if you're trying to look more casual. If your shirt is quite loose, you should tuck it in to avoid looking like a pikey.

It totally depends on the style of clothes hes wearing and where we are going. I like the classy style and tucked in if were going somewhere nice. I cant say I really like shirts much though, I prefer T shirts on men.

I would say out looks nice and casual.
A tucked in shirt with a pair of jeans looks wrong in my eyes. But with a suit it looks alot smarter tucked in.

It is pretty straight forward and it all comes down to how daft you are when you buy something to go out in (and whether or not the wearer has bothered to try the thing on)
Basically I can't stand it when you see a bloke (or generally a teenage lad) standing there with his shirt untucked which was clearly cut to be worn with trousers and so tucked in. You can tell this as the shirt generally hangs down all the way past the arse!
If you are to wear your shirt out, you should make sure that it is the right style! It is mainly (always) the "formal" cuts that are to be worn tucked in and the casual styles are cut with shorter "tails" so that they look better out...
Remember:
Formal/Long = tucked
Casual/Short = not tucked
What I think looks starnge is tucking your shirt in when you're not wearing a belt!!
I think a belt helps it look better.

Aye - I never wear trousers/jeans/whatever without a belt (unless they were designed not to be worn with one...)
Again - comes down to buying the right clothes for the right purpose...

My bro seems to have it down... He wears it in when hes at work, with smart trousers etc and out when he goes clubbing/pub and it all looks good :)
