well there's not much you can do unless she dosen't see herself but that's drink for ya.
Just whenever your out ask her to not drink as much and to stick to one drink and not to mix drinks.

There's a girl at work who's only 17, and she's a total pisshead, and can't handle it. Every time we all go out she gets pissed as quickly as possible, then goes on about feeling sick for about an hour, eventually throws up, continues to drink, gets arsey with everyone, usually has an argument at some point, either with one of us, or a stranger, usually throws up again, drinks more, and goes home miserable. Someone like her should have learnt by now that she just can' t hold her drink, and that it has a bad effect on her.

Why dont you... the next time you all have a piss up, film it with a video cam, act like you're filming everyone, but pay more attention to your mate.
Then a few days later invite the girlies round for a girls nite in, and offer the video to watch? Then maybe she'll see what an embarrasment she's makin of herself without you having to tell her, and hurt her feelings? Could work!

I think deep down she probably gets defensive because she knows she's acted a bit like a twa* and that she should have calmed it down.
I'm a bit like that (very rarely do i let myself get like it anymore). Was like it on saturday and spent yesterday feeling very sheepish and having to apologize. Maybe just a small word would be good, something like you need to relax more when you drink as you're a bit in your face and offend people quite often.
