i think the leaves or some part are rubbed together and pressed on hard to produce the hash.

I'm not too sure on it.

There a couple of methods, you can either shake buds over a thin mesh, in this way the THC crystals fall through and you then qwish them together.

Then theres the morrocan way, where you put it in a pot, heat and pound into a block. Although I'm less sure on that method
