View Full Version : Is masturbation sad?
Is it sad, or pathetic (for a grown-up) to masturbate? Or should everyone do it? Let's have a poll....

Not at all. It is healthy and keeps yer bits in good working order. It is safer than sex too.

Its perfectly normal and perfectly natural.
How can you know what you like and dislike if you dont experiment with yourself? This counts for guys as much as girls- a partner cant be expected to know how to get you off just by looking, you have to show them how.
Its good practise, see? :naughty:

The way I look at it is: bif you have an itch you scratch it, if you need to have a wank/fiddle then you do it. What does it matter what body part it is?

If I don't ejaculate at least once a day I become really ratty and snap at people. So I like to think I do it for good, friendly customer relations. :)
Oh plus it feels good. ;)

Hmm...
Interesting.
Do you think it's okay to still masturbate whilst married? And do you think you would tell your wife/husband about it every single time?

Sometimes you just can't help it, you need it, especially if your g/f or b/f isn't there, or is too busy.
And why do you feel the need to tell them. "Have a good day honey" "Yeah, went to work, did some shopping, had a wank, made myself a sandwich, oh and your mother called (it's optional if you want to tell your girlfriend that you were secretly thinking of her mother while wanking). :D

I voted for 'Don't give a toss' because I don't care either way. That's just my humble opinion on the matter.

Some people, in a small minority according to this poll, think masturbation is sad because it is for people who cannot get sex.
Quoting from a book I have:
'Today in the west, where adults are concerned, masturbation is usually seen as a sign of social and sexual failure : pathetic rather than dangerous. In English, to call a person a 'wanker' (a masturbator) is to accuse them of being not wicked but useless. Moreover, as part of this denigration, even to stimulate with one's hands the genitals of another person is likely to get described as a masturbator: in other words, as someone who has inferior, marginally shameful sex.'
(This book does go on however to suggest that these attitudes to masturbation possibly need reviewing)
