Yeah well what pisses me off is they have my BRAND new email address that I only created yesterday and only gave to the people I trust the most and one of them has betrayed me and given this tosser my email address, as well as my old email address.

No, I don't think they can. Not my old one and my new one. This person said I came as "part of a package deal" of email addresses that someone gave to them, and therefore it had to be someone I know who gave them my address, because only people I know would have both of them.

Yeah, thanks for that. I am not scared in the slightest, I just want to know who I can't trust from now on. That is all. I have my suspicions it is someone from here, so I thought maybe other people from here might be having the same problems, that is why I asked. Jeeeeeeeez.

If one of your friends has emailed you and also sent some to other people at the same time cant the other people see your email addy?
That might be how they got it?

Both of them? I only made it yesterday and have only received emails from Livejournal comments notification thingy, which doesn't give your email addy to anyone else. Gar, I wish I could work out who I need to kill... well, who I can't trust!

Because if she has set a new email account up and only wants her friends on then surely thats why she dont want strangers getting it. If a friend has gave her email addy out its not right, its manners to ask if you can give the address to someone isnt it.

Because it is a matter of trust. People who know me know why I changed addresses - it was for a very personal reason, and they knew not to give this one out. And now some little fuckwit has. Simply put if you asked people not to give out your email address, and went to very long lengths to hide it from certain people, you would be annoyed if someone freely gave it out to some loser with nothing better to do than tell people to "open your door at 3am to find out who I am"

Well I know who I thought it was but he denied it so unless I want to make it a big issue with him then I can't really do much, but I don't like being threatened by some nutter that a so-called-mate gave my address tooooooo :S

Maybe you're looking at this the wrong way.

You said that you only gave that e-mail address to people you trust, and I certainly didn't give it away, but maybe none of your friends did either. Hacking someone is just a matter of figuring out their password, then they get all the e-mail addresses on that MSN.
If they don't change anything, then no-one's going to be any the wiser that they've been hacked.

Sorry I've been away for a few days and I know this post is old... but, jeeeez, do some of you not fucking read? No, really...?

It wasn't on a forward as at the time nobody had emailed me (I had only had the account one day) and no body would ever guess my password as it contains numbers and letters in both upper and lower case.
