OK, this thread is a spin off from a commment that Young and sexy made. Yes, I know she was just kidding, but it's still got enough of my attention to post a whole new thread :)
Girls, what do you want your wedding ring to look like?
The last, serious, girlfriend I had found this one, and it was love at first sight. http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/images/2044332A58IFN80506M.jpg
(Hugs and an invisable Jelly-Baby to the first person who can guess the price :D )
What do you girls think of it?

thats a nice one :D
mine was a plain gold band, with a single 1.5k in it. much like that one but the band was yellow gold, a bit thinner and the setting wasn't so high.

I get to plead male-ignorance and claim that I don't know the difference between a wedding ring and an engagement ring :p
Whichever you prefer

You dont know the difference? Oh well.
An engagement ring is normaly a simple thin ring of gold with a diamond or other stone in the middle, like the one at the top.
The one I gave my mrs is gold and has a diamond in a sqware set at the top.
The wedding ring is normaly just a band of thicker gold, but sometimes is a bit difference. Mines a band of white gold surrounded by two bands of yellow gold.

Would you continue that attitude for all of your married life? She wants, you work.

Can I just add, a guy that can afford a bit of bling bling isn't necessarily a good catch.

I gave my ex my Granny's ring she gave me when she died, as an engagement present. Nice ruby in it, very nice it was.
She threw it away.
Anyway, The ring doesn't really matter, I wouldn't have thought. But obviously it does

What about the lads? It's not unusual for men to get a ring when women propose.
I think it's nice when both men and women wear engagement rings. *is soppy*

I'm too traditional to allow whatever womanI'm with to propose. I wouldn't turn her down, I'd just prefer to do the proposing myself.
The end result being, I've never thought about an engagement ring for myself.
HOwever, I'd always wear my wedding ring. :)
I think Russian Wedding Rings Rock - with the three different colours

But I don't really wanna wear any kind of jewerly myself ;o)

If I ever got married (which I certainly don't plan on doing right now), then I would want something simple. Perhaps a celtic design, I dunno. And silver. I don't like gold.
And if it weren't rather plain-looking, then I don't think I would want to wear it. :p
