I suppose alot of it comes down to confidence. I doesn't really bother me. Each to their own.

Done a bit of modelling, but not glamour. I may give it a go if i manage to give myself enough confidence.

I'd love to do it. But I don't know if I actually would. It might just be a fantasy thing.

Computer enhance you?

My sister knows some girl who does some modelling and did the underwear scene once or twice - they get the PC to make her look all sexy.

There's hope!

ok ok ive been approached by some companies to do some....I wont go topless or bottomless though...I couldnt!! not cos im prude but I wuldnt put my family through it and those kinda pics to me are for special people, although I like looking at other people and I have nothing against it. Ill only do lingerie but not as much cash....its really gonna help me through uni....so any advice or tips or comments would be great.

Is this just a general question, or are you thinking of doing some Vicky?

I don't dissaprove of it, which you might say is obvious as I'm a bloke, and don't mind admiring a picture of a cute and sexy girl. :)
But how do you mean by "views"? Whose views, and why?

Are we talking about how friends, family, workmates, boyfriends, or lovers, may view you? If so, I don't think I would judge a girl too harshly for doing glamour if she genuinely has the face and body for it. Though may not think too much of her if she does that vile, false n fake, tacky tart glamour that you see in places like The Sport. :yuck: Porn (softcore) would be a problem too, though not too much of a problem, though I would prefer it if she didn't.

I'd have absolutely no problem if it were nude portraits (painting/sculpture/etc), life study, nude photographic studies, or similar.

luv me xx Hmmm, be careful obviously. What sort of companies? If it's just undewear, swimwear, and lingerie, then I'd say go for it. Just don't let them talk you in to topless (let alone bottomless) unless that's been arranged in the job description for the shoot. Obviously make it clear that you're not doing topless before the shoot. And whatever you do, don't let them talk, or bully you, in to doing topless. They can try to be very pursuasive.
What's it for? Catalogues? Brochures? Advertising?

Well, this is what is happening in my life:

Sisters mate does modelling.
Sisters mate asked sister if she wants to.
Sister mate = sister's agent

Sister gets pics done, then sent to her mates manager or something and sent to people for exposure. Then you wait.

Have you not entered any competitions or watched model behaviour? ;)

models.co.uk has advice on all types of modelling, including glamour and adult modelling.

It also gives you safety tips and how to spot a dodgy agent and so on.

As long as you know it's safe, I say go for it Vicky.

   I checked 'against' as no-one would pay to see my fried eggs! Each to their own though - nothing against it just wouldn't do it myself. I'm too shy anyway. :o

One thing which would worry me (and I don't mean this in a snooty way or anything, but it did occur to me) is whether it would have an impact later in life. For example if you tried to get a fairly high up position in a job, or a position of responsibility, and photos surfaced of you doing glamour modelling, how could that affect your career? Or say you wanted to go into teaching - could a history as a glamour model jeopardise your career?

Of course, you could want to go into a career as a glamour model, in which case there wouldn't be a problem. But ya get what I mean, don't you.

yeah this is what im thinking about and the more I think about it I dont reckon I have the guts! Id hate for people I know to stumble accross a picture of me! Think im gonna forget about it to be honest, although catalogue work would suit me better!

I shall keep ya informed!

You do have to think about the future when you do stuff like this.

When I was at Uni there was this nice girl that worked there as a school secetary ... everyone liked her and stuff.

One day someone told me she'd done glamour modelling and I said yeah, yeah figuring they were joking - the next day 3 images arrived in my email along with going to loads of other people as well - before long it just spread like wildfire - imagine being her and having 5,000 students all looking at you differently, let alone all your collueges.

I'm told there's a porn movie as well that she did in the past out there!! In the end she left the uni - not sure if this was part of the reason.

But these things always have a way of getting out.

If you do something like this you should be the kind of person that can accept that the pictures you do will mean something to the reader for about 2 minutes but have repercussions decades into your future (or even your kids - imagine their school friends finding out and teasing them)

If you're even a little unsure then those feelings will probably be the seed that grows over years into something worse and more destructive.

I shall keep ya informed! If it's nothing but underwear and lingerie, then it's not too bad. But it could lead to ridicule, and co-workers thinking less of you (in a bitchy way), if they found out.
Pursue the catalogue work though. Get a portfolio together.

You can always send a picture of yourself to the Sun or Mirror newspapers and if the like it they might invit you down for photoshoot when you are older - is it 16 or 18 you have to be? I'm assuming 18.. right?

Although I seem to remember some paper do a count down to a girl's birthday so they show pictures of her in a bathing suit and on her birthday when it's all official - then it's tops off!!
