Question mainly for the girls, but I'm sure there are a few guys out there who are a dab hand with the mascara, so feel free to answer, boys!

How often do you wear make up? And do you wear a lot of it? Can you leave the house without it?

I personally almost always wear a bit of make up out, but my day-to-day make up is fairly simple; just some eyeliner and mascara usually. I love experimenting with different stuff in the evenings, though!

Do any men out there wear make up?

a few years back I did loads of media work for the company I worked for, (I was on Big Breakfast, BBC Breakfast news, and a few digital programmes), and everytime I got made up - it looked really good.

Have any blokes experimented with a little foundation or is make up for men in public purley the domain of the ladies?




I did use some of my wife's foundation once for an evening wedding party - she didn't seem too impressed with the idea though

This is what i wear (daily):

Concealer
Foundation
Powder
Blusher
Bronzer
2 different kinds of mascara
Lipliner
Lipstick
2 different eyeshadow colours
Liquid eyeliner

I usually cant go out of the house without a full face on, but if i wanna tone it down i just wear the foundation/powder, pinkish eyeshadow, mascara and vaseline on my lips :)

I can easily go without. I don't have the whole, I feel naked without make-up going on.
Though I usually do highlight my eyes a bit, with mascara and soft eyeliner. Just to draw attention away from my tired face.

When I go out, I got the whole cat-eye thing look going on.
Though I intimidate people with it :(
It's not overdone, just that my eye-expression doesn't look to pleasant.

Hehe, I'm 17 and out of all my mates I wear the most make-up...
I think that's mainly down to my ecentric taste..

My make up bag consists of

about 7 bottles of the same black liquid eyeliner,
loads of black mascara's and loadsa deep red lipsticks!

I love make up, it's so much fun. My favourite brand is Mac (but it's a bit expensive) because they have so many different colours and it's really bold and exciting.

I used to wear face powder every day but I found it made my skin go a bit red and spotty, so I try to leave my skin natural as often as possible now.

As for your question hobbs, my favourite band is Placebo and I think I'm in love with Brian Molko, the frontman. He wears loads of make up, and it looks damn sexy on him. I think only some guys can pull it off, though. My ex had a thing for trying to look 'glam' like Brian, and used to paint his nails black sometimes. He'd like to try mascara and eyeliner too, I think, but he hasn't quite summoned the courage to do it. Personally I don't think it would suit his image and he'd look like he was trying too hard. But make up on guys can be cool, if it's the right make up and the right guy.

I just love a lil bit of black eyeliner, and black nail polish... not too over the top mind, but just so u know he makes an effort yum

I have this mate who has the most to die for eyelashes! they're long and oh so very curly... I've asked him if he'd let me mascara them.. and he said go for it :D can't wait :D hehe

i dont ususally wear makeup - thats me been on three dates with my new guy and not worn makeup yet!

i have loads of the stuff but i usually just wear my black eyeliner and mebbe some eyeshadow and just clear lipgloss

I wear a bit of mascara and thats it - though I am a fan of wet blusher (ather than powder) very occasionally I do the full works but I feel like a twat. When I was younger I was a goth (15 years ago) and wore makeup all day and night but now I prefer natural

I am of the opinion that I dont need makeup. But it is nice to wear it on special occasions as I feel I have made more of an effort.

I wear make up everyday, or if Im not going out the house then I dont bother but I'd definitely not go out without something on.

My daily make up usually consists of:
Bronzing pearls
Eyeshadow, usually lilac
Mascara, black
Lipstick, normally dark reds

its really weird... i always wear eye make up on a night out, i hate not wearing it-it makes me feel more dressed up and in the mood for a laugh i guess! but i never wear it during the day...

i only wear eye liner, shadow and mascara though... dont like foundation or powder.

ive got a really lush lancome fruit scented lip gloss... its so yummy:D

I always put make-up on to go out the house. If it's during the day, I don't tend to wear too much - just foundation, eyeliner and mascara. If it's in the evening I'll wear some more eye make-up. I never put anything on my lips at all...I think I'd look too made-up if I did.
I can't live without eyeliner though...dunno what I'd do without the stuff. I think it's the one make-up product that can make the most difference to someone.

most of the year i wear the full works, concealer, foundation, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, and possibly blusher and eyeshadow.
in the summer i dont wear that much if ive got a tan on my face. I usually wear just mascara a tiny bit of eyeliner and some liptint.
I dont wear my makeup to look too obvious even when im wearing a lot. I try and make it look quite neutral. I just feel so ugly without any.

However, i dont ever think that i look caked in makeup or really tarty, but when i go out it just looks as though ive made the effort.

Pah, i can't remember the last time i wore makeup! (You think i jest, i kid you not...)

Um. if i do wear any, it's normally a natural beige and brown eyeshadow (blended), black eyeliner, black mascara, a fairly neutral lipstick and lipgloss over it. With lipliner, cos i think it defines the lips so much better :)

I do go all out for special events (oh, no, i do remember the last time i wore makeup - the Mensa Ball :D), but i tend to keep it to a minimum.

I nearly always wear make-up for work, but it's no different whether I'm working lunchtime or evenings (tho my boss has always said she likes "her waitresses to make an effort in the evenings"!). I don't bother on my days off (tend not to look in the mirror enough to notice how bad I look!), but I do if I'm going out to see someone or go shopping (serious shopping spree, I mean, not nipping out for a paper!).

I usually keep it natural-looking and just use:
Maybelline EverFresh foundation
YSL Touch Eclat
17 Bronzing Balls
17 Superlash mascara (or clear sensitive if my hayfever is bad and I'm gonna be rubbing my eyes all day!)
Lip balm (whichever I put my hand on first - choice of five!)
17 Clear Lip Gloss

(and, yes, I have lots of points on my Boots card!

Or if I'm going out somewhere other than school or to the shops, I'll wear eyeliner and blusher too, and maybe lipgloss instead of balm. :)

I Sometimes wear mascara (Very light) it makes my eyes look more open. I Love it when girls were Eyeliner.
