8 weeks on no progress made.
The Labour Party were in charge for years and during the May local elections, the Lib Dems campaigned heavily on the basis that it was time for a change and listing their faults.
As a result Labour lost control and their leader lost her seat. This resulted in a hung council.
Labour taking the hint from the results have invited the Lib Dems and Conservatives to take control of the council. The Lib Dems are refusing to do so insisting they that the responsibility should be shared between the parties. The Conservatives with the smallest amount of seats are trying and failing to take control of the cabinet.
My personal belief is that the Lib Dems (who I have supported in the past) having made the case quite strongly for change in the council has a duty to those that decided to vote for them rather than Labour. To now insist on working with the same people they labelled incompetent is a cop-out of responsibility and has shown a lack of backbone.
Any thoughts welcome especially from the Lib Dem posters on here.
