Predictions for tonight?
Does anyone care or has the UEFA cup been devalued by the hype around the champions leafue?

I really, really hope Celtic win, but I think Porto might, probably because of the hot weather.
The UEFA Cup has been devalued, and if Celtic win won't be anything like the significance of our 1983 Cup Winners Cup win over Madrid.
That said, if Celtic win, it's gonna be one hell of a night out tonight :thumb:

ok 1. celtic might not have won but the played the better game, porto played like a bunch of ameture dramatic actors they were down every 2 mins the sightest knock and they fell to the ground. 2. Larsson deserved man of the match.
3. celtic were good competition for porto ~ well done bhoys!!
4. martin left it far to late to bring on sean maloney, should've done it in the second half.

I agree with all your points angel, but especially that one. If Maloney was on a wee bit earlier we could have the cup in our hands just now.

Aye, Larsson deserved man of the match for a terrific dive!!! As did Thompson for nearly knocking that wee guy right off the park.
Get tae.
Oh but what would I know, I was watching the bill.
Seriously tho, I thought Porto would hump Celtic. In the first half it looked like they would cos Celtic couldn't even get the ball. Seems the Tic put up a good fight but that diddy Douglas lost it again.
I am really relieved they lost. Seeing lennon and co crying at the end made my day. Get used to it bhoys!!
Roll on Sunday!!
:D

It was a very exciting game.
Celtic were played, and beaten, at their own game of cheating and diving.
The best part is hearing the whole "We were really winners" that some Celtic fans have been coming out with.
It's hilarious :)
Face facts......... You lost. End of story. They're not heroes, they're not winners, and no one remembers the losers.
Big clubs move on.

I wanted them to win, but they didn't..
Which means Aberdeen remain the only Scottish team to have won two European trophies, and remain the last Scottish team to have won a Euro trophy.
Shame the Orange scum that I despise to the heart of my soul seem like they're gonna win the league

You're counting the "super cup" there aren't you?
Refuses to mention the manager involved...

Beggars can't be choosers :p
And think of all the managers spawned from playing under Fergie.
Mark McGhee, Erick Black, Gordon Strachan, Willie Miller, Alex McLeish...

Not denying that, but I'm willing to bet you've had more.
Just remember, if it wasn't for McLeish learning all he knows from Fergie at Aberdeen, you'd have won fuck all and got knocked out of Europe by some team no-one's ever heard of.
Oh wait, you did

Ah, the Super Cup. A trophy you wouldn't have if it wasn't for Rangers :)

I'd never even heard of celtic 3 weeks ago, and then i went on holiday to spain, met a few scottish lads and got into the whole football thing, i was dissapointed celtic lost, but i know somebody who went the match and said dispite the loss the atmosphere was great and it was a really good day/night out.
