Is it possible to be in love with two people at the same time??

I read a thing about this in a magazine once and it was full of people saying that they were in love with two people at the same time.

Personally i don't think you can. If you love someone then you give your whole heart to them, it can't be shared between two people. (sounds cheesy i know).

I think you can be in love with someone and be attracted to someone else, but not love two people.

i think you can love two people, but i dont know if u can be in love with two people...

maybe u can be in love with one and thnk for a while youre in love with another....

i dont know... ive never been in love with two people....

No, I don't think it is possible.

You can be in lust with two people. I don't even think you can be in love with one person if you are considering whether you are in love with another too.

NO- its a mix up between lust and love they can be hard to impossible to differanciate. One as gf/bf and the other one sexual- true true-

I agree

I dont think you could be in love with two people at the same time. Perhaps have strong feelings, but not in love with both.

But thats just me :)

I personally dont think you can have the exact same feelings for someone else but other people say they are so im not gona rule it out, who am I to say they are wrong...but I just dont think its possible for myself too. It hasnt happend though so never say never.

It very much depends upon your definition of love. Is having sex with people a sign of love? Or do you feel that you can only have sex with one peron exclusively.

Don't be fooled by that old 'open relationship' crap. Being IN love and loving someone are very different as far as I'm concerned. You can only live by your own morals...you just have to find someone with the same morals as yourself!

Hmm, i'm not so sure if you can be IN love with two people at the same time...
A problem is sometimes confusing love with infatuation - so try and avoid that one. I've managed to confuse that one myself before...

Ok here is the story......

I have my b/f right , we have been seeing each other for 3 and 1/2 years and we live together, i love him and i am still in love with him, we are happy and things could not be better.

Then there is this other man, he is my best friend and i love him, it used to just be platonic love, he is like a big brother to me. But i have started to have other feelings for him. i think that they are just feelings of infactualtion and lust, but it really feel like love, i feel for him the same way i feel for my current b/f.

Nothing will happen as he lives in another country, and has just been her for a holiday. I think that seeing him face to face again has just brought up some feelings that i have always supressed, i will never cheat on my baby, i love him too much, but i still feel like i am in love with the otherman ASWELL!!

I know that there is a diffenece between loving someone and being in love with someone, that is what used to be the case with this other man!

So i just wanted to know what you all thought!

I think youve almost answrered your own question there.
being in love and loving someone- your feeling to your bf are true and pure and with this other person I dont think you love him.
If its not broke dont fix it- and dont tell him just try forget about the other person and your felings for now- and when/if you two break up try it then-

Yeah, i know i have heard it 100 times before from mates aswell.

You see the twist is that he is my b/f best mate first, he used to live with us, about 2 years ago for about a year, and it was the case of either we get along or one of us leaves. So we got along, and then we got close, and he was my big brother, then he moved countries and i lost my best friend. I have always loved him, like i love my girlfriends and family, but when he came to visit i felt something more!

But he has gone and i have told him how i was feeling and he helped me get over him *if that makes any sense* you see me and man number 2 have NO secrets and have always bee 150% honest with each other - its like he is a grilfriend to me!!

well thanks for you input, like i said i just wanted to know what you all thought!
