I go to a sec school in Glasgow and it is shit. Since my mum works nightshift and my dad died I have to get the bus which makes me late all the time. You all know what the buses are like 3@time @ 30 min intervals. they stopped the school bus because there are only 10 of us at that school in the area.

Anyway school starts at 8:55 am and stops @ 3:30pm

The school is full of idiots who do not work

3 0ut of 10 teachers swear frequently

half of them are alchoholics

They all come from Edinburgh or some other posh place the load of twonks

The cafeteria serves burgers, hotdogs and a load of other burnt grizzly shit at 95p a time

An apple which s the only healthy thing in the dump costs 35p ( prices are rising 1n 2004)

warered down coke costs 55P

now i feel that i could go far for i am far brighter than that lot of arseholes at my school. There are a few bright kids but not a lot.

I read a topic about a guy who hated his boarding school I would LOVE to swap with him.

PLEASE TAKE A POLL ON WHO LIKES THEIR COMP

A private secondary school.

And not 'cause my parents are rich - I got a full scholarship.

I went to a comp and started to hate it from year 10 upwards. I wouldn't say that i would have liked it more at a private school but my comp was particularly shit.

i went to a comp until yr 11 but i'm doing 6th form at a private day school.

I didn't mind the comp, and like at your school, there were loads of people there who just couldn't be bothered, and the teachers didn't really care.

I think I like the school i'm at now better, but there are down sides too - at my last school even if i didn't work, i'd be fairly near the top of the class, but now, i'm nothing special. I'm predicted AAB at A level, but most of my friends have AAA predictions. It can be very high pressure, and the teachers are incredibly exam focused - a C a GCSE is pretty much regarded as a fail.

The atmostphere at private school is different too - it's very 'cliquey'.... you have to be part of the right group.... it's not enough to simply be clever, you have to be outgoing, confident, etcetc. if you're not part of the 'right' group, socially, it must be very very hard.

However, it's given me lots of oppurtunities, and even though my post sounds pretty negative, i'm very glad i went.
If you really want to go to private school, you could look to see if any have scholarships available.
They often do, and i don't think they are that hard to get.

I really fuckign hated my secondary school, soooo many wankers there, the teaching was crap and so were the facilities. Im at collge now and it is sooooooooo much better. Everyone is friendly and you can even chat to the lecturers about your weekend and stuff liek that
