I wanted Man U to loose the title, but it was either that - or our premiership survival. The right option won! :)

You know you wanted to let the reds win the title really. After all, we all know that Leeds fans are just closet man u fans! :D
Im pleased ur staying up all the same, and not just because you handed us the title on a silver platter! Relegation isnt a nice thing to wish on any team.

I am so glad I don't support man U or Arsenal I know people on both sides!! But If I had to choose any team to win I would have chosen Arsenal because that would have made my boyfriend happy.

GET IN LEEDS.
I'm also dissapointed that the Scum won the title but Leeds staying up is much more important.

Aw come on. Why are Man Utd supporters so hated. Its just blatant jealousy people.
Arsenal are scum. And their cockiness last year was unbelievable. Actually believing they had the titel wrapped up in December and believing Man Utd would slip up was pure blasphemy!
It was a fairy tale. Another chapter in Fergie's book. Good vs. Arrogant Evilness!
Taxi fare to the pub to watch the match: £4.00
Favourite Man Utd top: £35.00
3 Pints of Stella: £6.60
Look on Arsene Wenger's face when Viduka crushed their title hopes: Priceless
:)
Man Utd - Simply the BEST team in the UK.

Why are man united so hated?
well let me start leeds scored the cocky bas**rds cheered, poor arsenal they have to put up with the jokes and the taunts they cocky? all i have heard is how man united are the best team! they are the rudest, most pig-ignorant and selfish team in the world, the fans only reflect that!
and yes they may be the best team on paper - THEY SHOULD BE THEY ARE THE RICHEST TEAM!!!! i WOULD EXPECT THEM TO WIN A CRAPPY LITTLE PREMIER LEAGUE! where did they come in the champions league?:p

How did Leeds do in Europe this Season??
I'm not sticking up for ManYoo cos they expect to win everything. The only difference between ManYoo and the Arse, is that Arsene Bandit opened his mouth and publicly announced that his team wouldn't loss a game.
Twat!

Talking of Twats, Ferguson has got to be the biggest twat of a manager in the premier league.
Wengers gonna say what he said. He believes in his team and believed that they wouldn't lose a game. Yes, he got proved wrong, but its better than saying 'I think my team will lose the rest of the games and hand the title to Man U' and then being correct.

Very true. But he's still an ejut for saying it when he has players like Toure, Parlour, Cygan, and Fanny Jeffers in his squad!
The Premier League is one of the best in the world, with some of the crappest referees - who can envisage their team going undefeated??
Hindsight is a wonderful thing :D

Toure and Cygan, yes not very good.
Parlour has proved himself in the premiership and in my opinion is a decent player. Francis Jeffers has been quoted to be the next Alan Shearer, for the England reserves (or U21) hes scored more or nearly as many as Shearer did in his time there (can't remember exactly). Fair enough he hasn't made his mark on the premiership yet but looking at that its 1 of the best options England have on offer for the future so he can't be a crap player.
I agree that no-one can be sure that they won't lose a game. Got to be a good thing having that sort of confidence in your team. (or you would have thought so). Didn't seem to have that effect on Arsenal though, wot a crap run towards the end.
What do you all think about this - Did Man U win the title? OR Did Arsenal throw it away?
I personally think Arsenal threw it away, all credit to Man U (even though I hate them) cos the table doesn't tell lies but Arsenal had it in the bag and lost it at the end.

United won it, it isn't possible to "throw it away". If Arsenal had won their last few games, could United have been accused of "throwing it away" earlier in the season when they had their bad run?

I think it has more to do with Wenger's claim last season that Arsenal's double constitued a change in force at the top - especially when they had done the same a few years ago and then failed to retain their trophy. In fact Arsenal haven't retained the title since the 30s.
Added to that is his comments in the last couple of days when he claims that Arsenal were clerly the better team when you take into account the whole season.
So let's look at that season:
Premier League: United Champions, Arsenal second.
FA Cup: United knocked out, by Arsenal
League Cup: United were runner's up, so what happened to Arsenal, they certainly didn't win it...
Champions League: Ignoring the fact that United actually went further in the competition than Arsenal did, just how many games did Arsenal win this time around?
So looking at the season as a whole, United did better in every competition apart from the FA Cup. Hardly suggests that they were the worse team, does it?

Good point, well argued. It just seemed to me that Arsenal threw it away because they were quite a way out in front a few weeks ago and then they've lost points when they shouldn't have. I agree with you though, because Man U started the season shitly.

Totally agree with you. I was just stating that I think Ferguson is a twat. And also that I don't think it was wrong that Arsene Wenger said he thought his team would not lose a game, he was proven wrong but I think that kind of confidence is needed from the manager. Neither do I think it is cockyness, just confidence in the ability of the team.
Anyway, LEEDS for the premiership next season
MARCHING ON TOGETHER :p :)

Every team goes through a bad run at some point in the season, sadly (from an Arsenal persepctive) their came when they were most under pressure. The only time I haven't seen a bad run, was the last time that Arsenal won the league, they were awesome that year.

Oh yea, Fergie is a twat, but one hell of a manager. As A supporter that's all I'm really interested in.
Wenger's confidence in his team isn't a problem, but he really is a sore loser. To suggest that Arsenal were the better team this season when they were bettered by United so often just makes him look stupid.
As for Leeds next year, gonna be tough when you sell more of your players. Thanks God United got their finances soerted out before the Premier League can into place.
