What the fuck was going on last night? We were shocking. I know we got told that when Vogts was coming that we were going to go through a period of change. But that's been over a year now!

I personally think we have enough talent in the squad and with people like Thompson, McFadden, Miller and Maloney now getting a chance to play we should be doing well. But I think the big problem is the tactics we play.

I mean. 3 at the back. For fucks sake. We can't play 3 at the back. We don't have enough quality running-wing-backs (or whatever they are called) to cover this kinda formation. We should play a simple 4-4-2. Or even 4-3-1-2. It suits us better.

I now seriously fear for our changes of qualifying for Euro2004.

On paper, it wasn't a bad line up, but we totally sucked.

I know I'm biased, but surely Paul Sheerin should have been given a chance, seeing how on fire he is at the mo.

I'd be embarrased if we made it to 2004.

But what would YOU do to change it? Like we've both said I don't think there is much wrong with the squad. We have an alright pool of players. I just feel the tactics are all wrong.

Granted having folk like Barry Ferguson pulling out at the last minute doesn't help but the team doesn't revolve round one player (no matter how much Barry thinks it does :p ) and we missed big Rab.

I think we need to play a flat-back 4. With 3 midfielders, 2 forwards and someone sitting inbetween the front line and midfield. With the speed of people like McFadden, Miller, Maloney we should be able to pressure opponents defenses but we just ain't.

I honestly think friendlies should be taken away from Hampden for a start (unless it's against Brazil or England or someone) because there is absolutely no point in playing in front of a stadium that's about 1/4 full.

McFadden, Miller, Maloney, McNaughton, Anderson, McGuire etc etc etc need to be blooded. And I think tactically, we suck, as you said.

To be honest, I don't know if Berti is up to it.
