View Full Version : who sounds sexiest...take 2
i was checking to see when a topic like this had last been done and it was in 2001. so i think it's ok to ask again. since so many other people have joined the site since then.
so.....what accents do you prefer on your potential shag partner?
mine are...in no particular order...scottish, sunderland (specific reason, lol), staffordshire (again, specific reason) and some american accents.
and you?

hmm I can put on a good - and convincing - Irish accent if that helps, and I'm working on my Welsh and Scottish. ;)
I'm not too picky - I'm not overly keen on accents. I'd prefer a lady that speaks with an 'English' accent, or as near as possible.

Well Mobily that means the whole of GB then - you do realise that there are loads of women in that country

Not quite. There are many accents in the UK and few people have a true 'English' accent, i.e. without any regionalised accent. For instance, I am a Devonian yet thankfully I have no such accent.

No, not stuck-up people, but rather intelligent, sophisicated and elegant women. I come from the countryside, so I'm sure a horse-riding woman won't scare me away. ;)

Each to their own though :)

 Not at all. In addition to those preferences, or perhaps as a result of them, I would like a professional lady as my future wife. As you said, each to their own. :)

Not that fussy myself - even "Irish" "Welsh" or "Standard" accents vary hugely between towns so I'm not that fussed. A Geordie accent like Kate in EastEnders is nice though ;), a Welsh accent (provided it's not that strong is also very nice). I guess I just want someone with a different accent than the London accents I hear round me all the time.

I am not posh and I do not speak poshly. In fact, I am "well-spoken" and my voice is "handsome and clear" according to Jacaranda.
lol. They're only my idealisms - nothing to get worked up over. You might like geezers with tattoos and plenty of jewellery and those that swear their mouth offs and start fights, but if a woman was like that I'd unhesitatingly run. As you said, 'each to their own.' ;)

Almost any accent it quite sexy, provided it's not to strong, or too broad. ...with the possible exception of scouse and Geordie.

half of my family are from northern ireland so whenever i go over i always try to meet my cousin's mates and i sit there mesmorised (sp?) by it all. hmmm i do like scottish accents too, but not too strong as even though i can understand fast, strong irish/scottish accents i still find trouble sometimes and put my foot in it.
ooo my boyfriend has an i suppsoe 'well spoken' accent (i sound like a dippy tart compared to him) people get really surprised because they think i will speak with a very posh accent as i'm from Cambridge and we sometimes get stereotyped so much but that is really not true. anyway he is half scottish as well so can put on a gorgeous accent hmmmmmmmmm
