Its quite a funny show but I feel its rather overrated and a bit unrealistic - but then what would I know about American women in their 30s.

I've seen it a few times.. i agree with the self-obsessed comment made by Miffy.
To be honest I don't really know why i watch it.. i guess it's brainless entertainment on an otherwise TV-show-less Wednesday

I've watched it a few times, but it isn't very good. It's a series that's old an tired now, and from what I can tell from watching a recent one (don't ask which, they all seem the same), they're just repeating themselves now, and relying on throwing all sorts of things in to the story to try and keep it alive.

I love it, they're all good. I'm probably a Carrie too. I date the wrong men, and I'm obsessive and neurotic, but a lot of me is like Charlotte, naive, idealistic etc.

I think its really good, dont really watch it on the tv though i just buy the series when it comes out and then usually watch them when im having a girly night in with my friends:D

I think the clothes some of them wear are really funny and don't think anybody would be seen dead in public wearing them - although I may be about to be proved wrong!

I think Sex and the city id one of the most clever, hilarious and intelligent comedies out there. I think that the characters are brilliantly portrayed and acted, and I think the scripting is done very, very well :D shame it's all over :(

Ally was a lot better than Sex In The City. Sex In The City is funny at first, but gets old quickly. Even the first episodes seem too similar too each other, its just... crap :p

Did anyone see Adam and Joes version of Ally Mcbeal, fantasic!

Anyway, I didnt like the earlier sex in the city, then it got really quite good for a while, with some of the episodes bordering on the profound, but not its got rubbish again, its so over the top and smultzy.

Its the best programme in years. I have all the box sets and can't wait for the next series - can't believe its gonna be the last one but better to end on a high than drag it out like friends.

I am so shocked at how many people here dislike it and think its unrealistic! Remember its set in New York and people wear all kinds of crazy outfits there. Some of the fashion is totally different to anywhere else. Also, as for the characters, yes they mite be a bit over the top but I think that in all groups of female friends there's a Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda.

In my opinion series 4 was the best, closely followed by series 3. Series 5 that was on most recently was too short and due to the pregnancies it was tamed down a lot. I still enjoyed it tho.
