clearing the mind

Everyone always says that the best way to have good sex is not to worry. But I have a big worrying problem and cannot stop my mind being nervous and active during sex making it hard to really enjoy it. How do you clear your mind and just enjoy it?!!

In my experience, I'm only unable to relax and enjoy myself when I'm nervous, and usually the reason I'm nervous is if I'm doing something I haven't done before (like when I lost my virginity) or if I'm self-conscious because I'm not comfortable with the guy.

Solve those 2 problems and you're ok. Try talking to your partner and not taking things too far eg if you're worrying about getting onto something like oral sex, then set a limit and say 'no we won't go that far' so then you can relax and enjoy yourself without worrying and thinking it's leading somewhere you're not comfortable with.

I may be barking up the wrong tree, or not making sense (very very hungover sorry), but hope that's in some way helpful!

it's not that it's the first time, nor that I'm uncomfortable. I love my boyfriend to pieces and have been with him for 10 months. i just can't seem to climax and now all i do is think about it which makes it harder. Maybe I'm weird and have a stupid mind that can't just let go and enjoy the moment

Lots of girls are unable to climax during sex, as long as you enjoy what you do have, why spoil it by worrying?!

Can you climax on your own?

The more you worry, the less likely you are to reach an orgasm!

Lots of women cannot climax through sex alone, so maybe your boyfriend could "finish you off" with his tongue or fingers. If that doesn't work maybe you could do it yourself - I am sure that would be a real turn on for him! :)

try not to think about what it is your doing. dont think of love making as a problem or an act to be thought of. try having a drink (a small one) before you have sex just to relax you. if u think of how much pleasure u want or how much u want to give it gonna make u even more nervous so try not to think of it that way.
