How safe is your sex?

So how safe are you? In safe i mean you use a barrier method (condom/femidom) of contraception. This isn't so much about pregnancy as STI/D's (Sexually Transmitted Infection/Disease)

Shit, I voted before I read the question properly. Um, I don't use condoms anymore (I'm on the pill), but since my boyfriend's the only bloke I've slept with, and I'm the only one he's slept with, I assume we're pretty safe, sti wise. But if things did go pearshaped with my boyfriend and I slept with someone else, I would go back to condoms as well, at least until I knew the person concerned was 100% clean.

I've been on the pill a few years now but I always used condoms aswell. I've been with my boyfriend for a long time now (and plan to be with him the rest of my life!) so we've stopped using condoms, I hope I wont ever have to go back to using condoms again, yucky numby things that they are :(

Just because you've been in a relationship for a while, doesn't mean all STI's miraculously appear.

However if you mean you both get checked out after a while & stop using them when you've been given the all clear, then fair play.

Having answered that I always use condoms, I mean I do if I'm not in a relationship, or with a new partner.

If I am in a monogamous relationship, we get checked out & stop using them once we've both been given the all-clear. Better safe than sorry I reckon.

I always use condoms, it's stupid not too really. I'm on the pill and would be having sex with my bf without condoms but he has a tight foreskin so we still use them. It doesn't bother me in the slightest, actually i think i prefer it. I hate 'leaking' after sex (soz for the metal image!) and i've never really noticed a difference with or with out condoms
