Right I probably am going to look a bit silly here, but what the Hell........here goes.

I was told tonight that if you are a registered alcholic that you sign up and automatically get £10 per day for booze(or was it per week? ), that the Government pays for.

Well Right or Wrong?

Thank you:D

Sorry but that seems like complete crap to me. :D :)

I never have heard of 'registering' as an alcoholic before. Even if that is true, why the shit should the state fund somebody's alcohol problem? :)

Well my friend assured me it was right, if this is right then I agree with you, why the hell should we pay for their addiction?

Where would I find out if this is the case? I may just have to become a " Registered Alcoholic " if this is the case;)

I read in the Mail that asylum seeking paedophilic african american gay alcoholics get £20 a day, ten gold bars, free access to nursery schools, and a small country estate.

Maybe what she means is if you are a registered alcoholic or drug addict, you are eligible for sickness benefit.
Statutory sick pay works out at about £12 a day. You dont get this on top of other money, but instead of. you couldnt work AND claim SSP.

This guy apparently is "registered as an Alcoholic", he is also registered as "schystophrenic" (sp).
His girlfriend who actually lives with him gets A carers allowance and because she cant look after him all the time her daughter also receives Carers benefit.
He is getting loads of benefits, obviously has a nice house, kids walk round in designer gear and hes never worked in his life. He is conning the system for all these benefits and there is nothing wrong with him.

Thats basically the story:)

But she stressed that he gets this £10 because hes an alcoholic:confused:

Prufock I know a knob when I see one............you didnt need to prove it to me though;) :p

:p to you too. bloody scroungers. probably reads the guardian, too.
Being absolutely serious, if this is all true it's shoocking, but in fairness none of us know this chap's cirrcumstances intimately. or even what that disease is. (unless I'm more ignorant than the rest of the world.) we shouldn't be too quick to judge, he says sanctimoniously.

Where do I sign up?

Although £10 per week won't exactly keep you pissed, will it? Even Diamond White would be more than that...

Still little but helps I suppose...

BumbleBee

)Becky - do not be quick to judge ok? You don't know his circumstances and you don't know about his personal life, even your friend only knows second hand.

My brother walks around in designer clothes, but that doesn't mean my parents can afford them, he gets them for Xmas and bdays and thats about it. Designer clothes don't mean you're well off, they mean your kids nag you because they don't look 'cool' and you pay for a Burberry cap for them instead of paying the phonebill and then you get disconnected and your daughter can't use the internet when she comes home from uni .... oh sorry, went off on a tangent then! (:()

Anyway, erm, where was I? Oh yes, don't judge him because you don't know him!

If hes registerd as an alcoholic and a shiczophrenic then hes probably getting disability living allowance. I knew someone who was on this and was getting £140 a week plus housing benefit and council tax benefit, but they are very strict and theres no way he would be getting DLA if he wasnt seriously Ill. I think you should give this man a break, Id rather have my health than the money anyday.

For once, I agree with Man of Kent. :)

Ten pounds is not enough for an alcoholic to get pissed, unless s/he cannot take their drink or has the metabolism of a twelve year old! :D ;)

Ok Rainbow and Bumble I see where your coming from. Maybe I should have also put that I also know this person in question. Beleive me his illness only comes on when the law is behind him. This guy knows how the system works.

I also would like to tell you that I do know his background, I also know that he cons the system because he has told me this, so please dont tell me that I dont know the guy and his circumstances:)

Anyway where was I???? Oh yes I was just about to go back to anything goes :D

Having read his comments of bullying (its okay, character building in fact), teens (he wants to beat them up) and preventing people with "congenital defects" from having children, this is one person I would rather never agree with.

Have a look at the "nonsense" thread...

and his "Evaluate my site" thread...

When you go to his site enter "index.htm" instead of what he put and you will get to see his "Rants". Some are comical/infantile, the Arsenal one, or the "I like dark hair" one. But there were some which were deeply disturbing...especially the banning of births...

onenatcons

The Arsenal rant was genuine. :)

And I never posted the rants page here, so I don't see why it's of any consequence. :)

Because you hold those beliefs, that's why it's of consequence. I would draw your attention to the circumstances surrounding Steelgate's banning. He was banned because of opinions he held posted elsewhere. But those opinions, which people certified as his, were contrary to the principles behind the boards, and he was banned subsequently.

14-10-2002, 04:51 PM
And what are the 'principles' of the board? Are they listed anywhere?

If so, I have always followed them. :)

I wonder why you never directed us to it...

It's of consequence because it marks out what a complete c*nt you are. The only reason I posted some of your comments is because a) you claimed it was your friend's site, when clearly it was yours and b) because some of the opinions you hold are beyond reprehensible. Like I said, some of those views have only really been the policy of a certain German organisation...

So I'm a fascist now? :)

I couldn't really give a damn if I've offended here. And why should I show you the rants page? It's my personal webspace and I'll share it with whom I please. :)

Furthermore, it was YOU who first accessed the index page. I suppose all info on the WWW is public domain, nonetheless why should you look at it? :)

Nope, you're a moron. You just hold some pretty "dodgy" views.

I couldn't really give a damn if I've offended here.

I don't expect you to. I'd be surprised if you did. That would show an ounce of compassion for others, something you clearly lack.

And why should I show you the rants page? It's my personal webspace and I'll share it with whom I please. :)

Actually, its posted on the internet, which has a pretty wide audience. If you want your views kept secret then don't put them on the 'net.

Of course, it could be that you are proud of such views...

BTW. Can you define "congenital defects" for us...

14-10-2002, 05:08 PM
As I said, the WWW is public domain, but I administer my own website (who else would :)).

As for 'dodgy' views, don't you realise that people can hold any damn views they choose? Even if they are 'extreme'? ;)

And one more thing. Why is my 'rant' about dark-haired women 'comical'? :) What is so funny about that? :):D

I think you covered that yourself - who else would - but if you remember you originally referred to it as "my friend's"

As for 'dodgy' views, don't you realise that people can hold any damn views they choose? Even if they are 'extreme'? ;)

Yep, and I'm exercising my right to refer to them as "dodgy". I'm also using my right of speech to make sure other people know what your views are, so that they can make their own minds up about you.

And one more thing. Why is my 'rant' about dark-haired women 'comical'? :) What is so funny about that? :):D

I'm sorry, but do you really want me to answer that?

NB You omitted your definition of a congential defect...

onenatcons
14-10-2002, 05:21 PM
And I use my right to free speech to state that views placed on an unrelated website have no relevance here.

I possess the right to think what I motherfucking want. :) If that offends, then so be it.

Also, I'll answer your question if you'll answer mine. :) I once read you work in the NHS. In that sense, you don't need me to tell you what the word congenital means. :D

When you use this place to spout your political beliefs, it becomes very relevant and related, becuase it also represents your views...

Only you thought that we wouldn't find them.

Also, I'll answer your question if you'll answer mine. :) I once read you work in the NHS. In that sense, you don't need me to tell you what the word congenital means. :D

Oh I know what it means alreight, I'm just interested in your definition.

onenatcons
14-10-2002, 05:32 PM
I know what congenital means too. Isn't it a condition that is inherited and is evident from birth? ;)

Anyhow, I don't really care if you dislike my rants page. :) No one here knows me in real life and cannot know what person I am (and comparisons to Steelgate I find obnoxious as I am confident, unlike him..;)).

Indeed, and it doesn't have to be a heriditary condition either. So an accident at birth would count too.

So you have just suggested that anyone with poor eyesight, deafness, victims of Thalidomide, anyone with restricted height etc etc etc

Should be prevented, by law, from having children.

Or am I mistaken?

So just because Man of Kent felt the need to access the index page, I have to be questioned as to my views and sensibilities...

Whatever, I won't participate in this thread from this point. I'm not in the mood for the third degree at this time. :)

No, you are being asked about them because they are your views. It wasn't me who posted them on a publically available website, and then posted a link to this site.

Take responsibility for your own actions.

Whatever, I won't participate in this thread from this point. I'm not in the mood for the third degree at this time. :)

Better to run, than to fight for your beliefs isn't it. Hardly the sign of a confident person. Nor of someone who wants to run for office at some point. Still I'm patient...

come on, stop this incessant bickering! t'shah what are you like?

The only official rules of the board are:
http://www.thesite.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28758

which you should all have read before posting here.

TheSite boards are here to provide a place where our targetted users (16-25 yr olds) can come and express and discuss their thoughts and opinions in an open, friendly and safe atmosphere.
I know we have many users outside this age group, that's great, the older users contribute a lot and may have a wider experience of politics and the world, so long as they understand the nature of theSite and its boards, and abide by the rules.
Younger users are similarly welcome, as long as they and their guardians understand the nature of some of the content.

While I want to stay as hands off as possible, and let everyone get on with it, I also have to make sure that it doesn't degenerate into a constant flaming session between a few users, who have to have the last word against each other, take threads off-topic, and scare new users away from the Politics Board.

you're free to express yourselves here, but please discuss and criticise each others views, not each other, and try to stay on topic.

...or I will have to start banning people, and I don't want to do that :(
