A little too 'plain' for my liking, with the white background and all. I liked the orange one :( It's a little buggy as well, with images not working in the threads that were started before the update. S'pose that wont matter when the threads die though...
Also, the stars have gone :(
Edited to say the following:
The sigs could do with UBB code back again :(
And in the Forum Home thing...where it lists the forums, (Anything Goes, Sex, Relationships etc.), it tells you the last poster, and the time and date of the last post, but it doesn't tell you in what thread they posted. The old forums did (as you probably know), and it was petty helpful incase someone posted a reply in two or more threads...

I think the new boards are great.
But, could you post a guide to the new features? For example, I have no idea what "subscribing" to a forum means.
Stars should be back - Tuesday at the latest.
As for colours/backgrounds etc, it will look much like the old version in the next few days hopefully. Yes, it will be orange. :)

Nice and easy for me as I use forums based on this system. If you subscribe to a thread or even a forum, you recieve an e-mail notifying you of any new posts. I don't like it. You can stop it selecting this by default by pressing the "user cp" button and then settings.

I'm sorry Dom, but I don't think I like the new boards. I know you lot must of spent hours sorting all this out, but I'm very lost. I'll give it a few more days before I completely make up my mind, maybe it's just the shock.:)

I like this, but i think it should be blue again, i don't like the orange... also, has anyone else been randomly logged off thesite? It'llhave me up as browsing the boards, but when i click reply, it tells me that i'm not logged in. Strange.

The best colour scheme was before it all turned orange.

Oh, and could the 50 x 50 pixel maximum not be bumped up to say 75 x 75, or even 100 x 100? I had such a hard time trying to get an avatar that fitted, as when I shrunk other pictures, they were un-recognisable :(

Well, I said I'd give it a couple of days, and in those days I have warmed very much to the new site! It's brilliant!
Well done all of you who spent the holiday weekend putting together the new and improved thesite, it is very very impressive!
:D
Yet, one little thing; why did you move the date and time of each post to the bottom of the post?
It's very annoying, having it at the top of the post means that if you go away and then come back to a topic you can quickly scan down the posts until you see a post after the time you left, this way you have to go down and then back up.
Having the date & time at the top is more efficient.
:)

I love the new site, but I have a few questions…
-On the board where there is a list of all of the forums and three columns to the right of them, a list of the last posts, right now the list tells you the last person to make a reply in the forum, can it be changed to also show the last post replied to in the forum?
-Can I get the blurb that said "Miss. Understood" back under my name?
&
-Why did my status change without me posting any new posts?

We didn't intentionally move the time/date - VBulletin has a set lay-out which is different to UBB - this is just the way it came out. We'll have alook to see if there's an option to piss about with it.
Don't hold your breath though...

1. No. We tried to do this. There may be a hack out there, but it's not part of the standard software.
2. We've switched off the option that allows you to choose your own user status - for now. Just well we get on top of things. I'm sure it will come back if enough people want it.
The stars are less likely to return...

I personally think everyone should get the same chance to change it, i think we should have the normal status back if we can't ALL change it.
As for the stars.....

I think only those among us who are great should be able to change them. I quite like Anonymous poster, it suits me.
As for the stars....why don't you just make your own...? You have the Avatar option now remember.

I find it annoying that after you post you get taken to your post because you then have to scroll all the way to the top of the page to go back to the main page.

At last decent software!
I run a board with this software, if you want a hand with any thing such as hacks just ask/PM me.

Go to your profile or preferences—something like that—check the option that says it is okay to save cookies and see if that helps.

I had selected yes for the Cookie option way back, which is why i can't understand why i have to log back in every so often.

In “Edit Options” section, I have “yes” checked for both automatic login and browse board with cookies.
Do you?

I prefer the new format, and to be honest am damn glad the stars have gone. Now maybe they'll be less of the "look at me raise my post count" posts.
One small point of interest though... I now have something along the lines of 2100 posts.... I'm sure I didn't have nearly that many before?

Aaargh! Sorry but I just hate the new boards. There is no "reply with quote" button, I can't figure out how to log off, the stopstart picture in my sig didn't work (I removed it) I have no idea how to get the avatars and I'm generally bamboozled.

Yeah there is, click 'quote' at the bottom right of peoples posts.

On the main boards page, click 'Log Out' on the bottom right.

Images slow down the pages, they also take up bandwidth.

Yea they slow them down, but people could put up with that. Didn't slow it down by that much. Also does it not only take up the bandwith of the site the images are linked from, ie Geocities or whatever?

If the images are linked from free webspace or other unreliable sources and they are removed, it causes the thread pages to hang or very slow at loading. It's ok for some one with broad band but for a user on a 56k modem who opens a page where every user has a image in their signature and each post scattered with smilies, they slow the pages down considerably.
