THE BEST TEAM IN EUROPE IN THE 80'S
and before any aberdeen fans come on and say they were better, they had ONE good season in europe (1983) where as dufc where in europe every year from 1979 till 1990, ALWAYS doing well.
we were the only team to beat barcelona home AND away twice (1968- 2-1 at tannadice and 3-2 at neu camp 1987 1-0 at tannadice and 2-1 at neu camp)
we would have got to the european cup final if it werent for ROMA bribing the ref in the 2nd leg (won 2-0 at tannadice beat 3-0 on rome) we would have played liverpool and WON. both liverpool and roma played SHITE in the final (liverpool won on penalties)
we played man u in the UEFA quarter final in 1985. A brilliant game at old trafford in the 1st leg coming from 2-0 down to 2-2. 2nd leg at tannadice they won 3-2 from an og by gerry britton, a duffed passback from dave narey and a hand ball from gordon strachan BASTARDS!!!
Other teams beaten - Borussia munchengladbach (4 times), PSV Eindhoven, Rapid Vienna, Werder Bremen, PSG etc etc etc
