So whats everyones opinion on the Play Offs? Those end of season encounters that throw up some of the most entertaining matches of the season.

Are they fair? Should it be right if your team battles along all season and finishes a hard and respectable 3rd. BUT that team thats been hanging around mid-table all season won there last 3 games so they get to go up instead of you!

The rule seems to be that the side promoted to the Premier League via the Play Offs normally comes straight back down. Maybe switching back to the old format of the top 3 sides in the 1st Division winning promotion might ensure a better quality of side? Just a thought.

So whats everyone else's opinion?

The playoffs are fair, the toip two teams go up not the top three. Those is the rules, so tough. You finsih third you aint good enough to go up, and if youre so much better than the other teams youd go up anyway.

Having said that, it would be fairer if the seedings in the playoffs were loaded, like in the Rugby League playoffs to decide the championship. Third should get an easier ride to the final than sixth, ie, play less games, but the playoffs should stay. Fans whine when they lose in them, and celebrate when they win in them...its just tough luck.

It should be worked so that the team 3rd has an easier tme. However if your the 6th team you wouldn't complain. What the record like for teams in 6th and 3rd going up? <IMG alt="image" SRC="confused.gif" border="0">

We all know Wolves fans love the play offs. Go to school with a few and they always get grumpy around May time....
